Zayo obtains MEF 9, 14 certification for its Ethernet services
Zayo will be able to give its business and wholesale customer's confidence that their Ethernet services are standards compliant, as the competitive provider just received Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) MEF 9 and MEF 14 certification.
These certifications came after the MEF tested the service provider's Ethernet services met their defined performance, interoperability, and reliability measurements.
The MEF 9 certification validates end-to-end service delivery and functionality, while MEF 14 validates service performance and management--both of which are key attributes service providers and businesses look for in choosing an Ethernet provider.
What's more, these certifications come as Zayo continues to buildout its 45,000 route mile network via acquisitions, including its pending deal with AboveNet (NYSE: ABVT), whose own Ethernet services also meet MEF 9 and MEF 14 certifications.
