Conolog Corporation Executes First Contract for the Newly Launched Fidra -- an Industry First Physical Fiber Optic Switch

INIVEN, an innovator of protective relaying and monitoring solutions, today announced the first sales contract for new Fidra -- an industry first in fiber optic protective relaying communication. Under the agreement, INIVEN will manufacture, deploy and support Fidra units to Southern Company, one of the largest providers of electricity in the nation, serving over four million customers across the southern US.

According to Michael Horn, the newest member of Conolog's Board of Directors, "the contract is significant and helps our Company continue to grow as we refocus our efforts on helping fiber optic service providers and electric utilities solve their unique fiber optic communication challenges."

INIVEN is focused on developing industry first solutions for the complexities of fiber optic communication. Fidra is a physical fiber optic switch that enables active control of fiber optic communication, so electric utilities can easily manage any type of fiber optics signaling for operations and testing.

Marc Benou, President of Conolog remarked, "Fidra is the first-ever active, multifunction fiber network physical switch of its type, designed to monitor, reroute, repeat and disable up to three fiber optic communication pairs...perhaps most important is that following the April launch of Fidra, we've secured our first contract in less than 60 days."
